Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-, see equivalent → Anchor
  L00-10226
t  Pliers -SAT 1105-, see equivalent → Anchor
Stripping
–  Strip the upper part of the inlet manifold → Chapter.

–  Unscrew the fastening bolts -arrows- and remove the engine noise damping cover.
  N10-10175
–  Unscrew the right-hand noise damping -fastening points 1 ... 3-.

–  Unscrew the bolts -1- on the exhaust manifold mounting -2- and remove it.
–  Lower the vehicle.
–  Disconnect electrical connection of the lambda probe -G39-.
–  Remove the hot air deflection cover

–  Unscrew the nuts -2- securing the front exhaust pipe to the manifold.
–  Unscrew the four upper bolts -1- and the four lower bolts securing the manifold to the cylinder head.
–  Take off the exhaust manifold.
Fitting
  Note
t  To prevent exhaust fumes from escaping, clean all connecting surfaces between the manifold, exhaust pipe and cylinder head properly.
t  Replace all the gaskets.
Continue fitting, following the reverse order of the stripping process.

1)  Apply -G 052 112 A3- to fit bolts while hot
