–
Unscrew the bolt -arrows- and remove, upwards, the air filter housing.
–
Extract the air filter element.
For the air mass gauge to work properly, respect the instructions and work procedures which are described below. |
Note t
If the air filter element is very dirty or wet, the air mass gauge could get dirty with dust particles or get wet and therefore the readings will be incorrect. The consequence is a loss of power as the calculated quantity to be injected will be less.
t
Always use original parts.
t
The sleeves for the hoses and the supercharger air flow tubes should be free of oil and grease before fitting. Do not use silicone based lubricants when installing.
t
The air filter housing must be clean.
t
The following should be noted when cleaning the air filter housing with pressurised air: To avoid operational problems, clean the components for the air duct with a clean cloth (air mass gauge, air intake ducts etc).
t
Take into account the regulations for the elimination of residues.
–
Check the throughflow of the drain hose and clean if necessary. The hose must have sufficient clearance.
–
Check that there are no salt residues, dirt or leaves in the air filter housing (top and bottom); clean with a vacuum if necessary.
–
Check that there are no salt residues, dirt or leaves in the air mass gauge, or in the air duct hose (clean air side).
–
Check that there is no dirt or leaves in the air duct from the lock carrier to the air filter housing.
–
When installing the air filter element, centre it on the element below the housing.
–
Carefully and without force, place the top air filter element on the bottom element. Make sure that the upper part of the air filter is not leaning sideways on the filter cartridge (sealing lip of the filter cartridge).
–
Ensure that the air duct hose fits correctly onto the air mass gauge -G70-.
The rest of the installation is carried out in the reverse sequence. |
