Check the camshaft axial play Wear limit: maximum 0.15 mm. Carry out the measurement with the hydraulic pushers removed and with the first and last bearing caps in place.

Assembly position for the bearing caps of the camshaft Note the eccentricity. Before mounting the camshaft, fit the bearing caps and establish the assembly position.

Camshaft identification, distribution timing Identification Basic diameter of the cams: a = Ø 38 mm. Identification using the numbers stamped between the inlet and exhaust cams:

Cylinder 1 -arrow A-		W
Cylinder 2 -arrow B-		028 D

Distribution time for 1 mm of valve movement

Inlet open after TDC	6°
Inlet closed after BDC	20°
Exhaust open before BDC	25.5°
Exhaust closed before TDC	6.5°
