Dismantling
Dismantling
–  Loosen the toothed belt and remove it from the camshaft wheel and the injector pump → Chapter, Toothed belt: removing, installing and tensioning.
  Note!
It is not necessary to remove the damper/belt pulley nor the lower protective cover for the toothed belt.
–  Remove all the fuel pipes from the pump.
  Note!
t  To loosen the injector hoses, use ring spanner -U-40072-.
t  Do not change the shape of the hoses.
–  Cover the openings with a clean cloth.
   
–  Uncouple the 10-pin connector towards the injector pump and separate the connector from its support .

–  Loosen the bolts which secure the injection pump wheel-1-.
  Note!
The bolt -2- on the hub should never be loosened. If it is, the basic setting of the injection pump will be knocked out of phase; this can not be adjusted with the tools available in the workshop.

–  Remove securing bolts from the compact bracket -1-.

–  Remove the bolt which secures the rear support -arrow-.
–  Remove the injection pump.
