Safety precautions when working on the fuel supply system > < Fuel tank with accessory parts: removal and installation

1 - Return pipe
q   From the injection pump
q   Blue or with blue marking
q   Check for secure seating
2 - Supply pipe/hose
q   Towards the injection pump
q   White or white mark
q   Check for secure seating
3 - Securing clip
q   Check for secure seating
4 - Regulating valve
q   Assembly position: Arrow pointing to petrol tank
q   To change the filter, remove the securing clip and the regulating valve with the fuel pipes connected
q   Less than +15 °C: Flow to filter, open
q   More than +31 °C: flow to filter, closed
5 - Return pipe
q   To fuel tank
q   Blue or with blue marking
6 - Supply pipe/hose
q   From fuel tank
q   White or white mark
7 - Fuel filter
q   Removing and installing → Fig.
q   Fill with diesel fuel before fitting
q   Direction of flow indicated by arrows
q   Do not mistake unions
q   Renew if damaged
8 - Gasket
q   Renew if damaged
9 - Water drain screw
q   To ventilate, remove the securing clip and the regulating valve with the fuel pipes connected
q   Open and let about 100 cm³of fluid come out (collect it)
10 - 25 Nm
11 - Fuel filter bracket
12 - Cartridge

   
Removing and fitting fuel filter
–  Remove the regulating valve with the fuel pipes connected (remove the securing clip).
–  Press the fixing lugs -arrows- on the plastic element outwards.
–  Remove the fuel filter upwards.
  Note!
The fuel filter can only be fitted in one position.
