Installation
  Note!
t  Check the use-by date on the sealant.
t  The oil sump must be installed within 5 minutes after applying the silicone-based sealant.
t  To facilitate the fitting of the oil sump, you can use threaded M6 pins at two points of the engine block flange.

–  Cut the nozzle of the tube at the front mark (nozzle diameter: approx. 3 mm).
–  Apply the silicone-based sealant to the clean contact surface of the oil sump, as shown in the illustration. The bead should:
be 2…3 mm thick
pass by the inner edge of the boltholes -arrows-.
  Note!
The sealant bead must not be thicker; otherwise excess sealant may get into the oil sump and obstruct the oil intake line filter.
–  Fit the oil sump immediately and tighten all the mounting bolts slightly.
–  Tighten the oil sump mounting bolts to a torque of 15 Nm.
  Note!
After the installation of the oil sump, let the sealant dry during approx. 30 minutes, after which oil may be added.
–  Install the soundproofing sump: → Rep. Gr.50.
