| The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is hot. Thus pressure must be reduced before repairing. |

| The hoses connections are secured with strip clamps. In the event of repair, use only strip clamps. |
| t
| Pliers -T20029- are recommended for fitting strip clamps. |
| t
| The coolant hoses should be fitted without stresses and without touching other components (check the indicating mark on the coolant connection and on the hose). |
| Test the cooling system for leakage with the -V.A.G 1274- or -SAT 1274- and the adaptor -V.A.G 1274/3-. |
