Calculate the maximum admissible re-cutting dimension
Calculate the maximum admissible re-cutting dimension
–  Introduce the valve and press it hard against the seat.
  Note!
If the valve is replaced during the reparation, use the new valve for the measurement.

–  Measure the distance -a- between the end of the stem and the upper edge of the cylinder head.
–  Calculate the maximum admissible re-cutting dimension starting with the measured distance and the minimum dimension.
Minimum dimensions: Intake and exhaust valve 32.1 mm
Distance measured less the minimum dimension = maximum admissible re-cutting dimension.
Example:
  V15-0640
 Measured distance32,5 mm
-Minimum dimension32,1 mm
=Max. admissible re-cutting dimension → Note0,4 mm

1)  Max. admissible re-cutting dimension is shown in the figures as dimension “b”.

Intake valve seat: re-cutting
  N15-0146
a=Ø 31,9 mm
b=max. admissible re-cutting dimension → Note
c=1,8...2,0 mm
Z=lower edge of the cylinder head
α=valve seat angle 45°
β=upper correction angle 30°
γ=lower correction angle 60°

2)  Calculation of the max. admissible re-cutting dimension → Chapter

Exhaust valve seat: re-cutting
  N15-0147
a=Ø 26,6 mm
b=max. admissible re-cutting dimension → Note
c=1,8...2,0 mm
Z=lower edge of the cylinder head
α=valve seat angle 45°
β=upper correction angle 30°
γ=lower correction angle 60°
