Replace the needle bearing of the drive plate > < Renewing rear sealing flange

t  Removing → Anchor
t  Fitting → Anchor
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hose clamp -10 - 201-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
l  Gearbox removed.
–  Insert counterhold tool -10 - 201- in hole on cylinder block -item B-, slacken bolts for drive plate.
  Caution
Take care not to damage outer surface of bearing flange on drive plate.
Use a multi-point socket bit with a length of at least 40 mm to slacken and tighten the drive plate bolts.
–  Remove the screws. Detach the drive plate.
Installing
Reassembly is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter „Assembly overview - cylinder block, gearbox end “
  Note
t  Renew the bolts tightened with specified tightening angle.
t  On vehicles with manual gearbox, a needle bearing is fitted in the drive plate. Before installing, check that the needle bearing is fitted. Removing and installing needle bearing in drive plate (pressing in and out) → Chapter.
–  Pay attention to dowel pin when installing drive plate.
–  Insert counterhold tool -10 - 201- in hole on cylinder block -item A-, tighten the drive plate screws.
