Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Additional hook -10 - 222 A /2-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Workshop crane -VAS 6100-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Lifting tackle -T40013-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
Operation process
l  Engine/gearbox assembly removed and attached to engine bracket -T10012-.
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove gearbox support.

–  Unscrew bolts -1- and -2- and take starter off gearbox.

Vehicles with four-wheel drive:
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows 2, 3- for bevel box bracket.
  Note
The -arrows 1- can be disregarded.

Continuation for all vehicles:
–  Attach lifting tackle -T40013- to gearbox and close lock.
–  Attach workshop crane -VAS 6100- with hooks -10 - 222 A /2- to lifting tackle.

–  Remove bolts -1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8- securing gearbox to engine.
  Note
Ignore items -3, 4- and -A-.
–  Pull gearbox off engine.
