Installing the hose connections with couplings
  Note
t  The charge air system must be free of leaks.
t  The hose connections and the hoses for the charge air system must be free of oil and grease before the assembly.
t  Apply a silicon-free and oil free grease for rubber on the sealing surface and the oil seal. Any grease containing silicon or oil may not be used.
t  Replace the joint rings where damaged.
t  Insert the oil seal into the groove of the air charging hose and see that the groove is contact on the entire periphery, so that it is not damaged.
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct hose clips (same as original equipment) → Parts catalogue.
t  For a secure attachment of the charge air pipes to their connections, an anti-corrosive spray must be applied to the bolt thread in used clips before the assembly.
  Caution
The coupling seal may be damaged if the safety fastener is locked when carrying out the assembly. This will cause leaking. Observe the assembly instructions.
