1 - Oil dipstick
q   The oil level should not be over the Max. mark
q   Marks → Fig.
2 - Oil cooler
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
3 - O ring
q   replace
4 - Coolant pipe
q   For oil radiator
q   Tightening torque of the bracket on the crankshaft sump: 20 Nm
5 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 8 Nm
6 - Sealing cap
q   Replace gasket if it shows signs of damage.
7 - Oil seal
q   Replace if damaged
8 - Oil filter cover
q   Tightening torque: 25 Nm
q   With bypass valve, opening pressure 2.50 bar
q   With non-return valve
9 - Filter element
10 - Valve
11 - Distribution housing
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   For ease of assembly, tighten two studs -M6x80- on the camshaft casing and the engine block
q   Fix the oil sump with two bolts to ease the fitting of the distribution casing.
12 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 10 Nm
13 - Securing bolt
q   Removing and installing crankshaft pulley → Chapter
q   replace
q   The contact surfaces of the fastening screws may not contain any oil or grease residue.
q   Apply oil prior to installation (thread)
q   Secure the pulley with the counterhold -3415- to prevent it from turning
q   The further angle of rotation can be measured with a conventional angle measuring instrument, such as a Hazet 6690
14 - Pulley
q   The contact surfaces of the pulley must be free of oil and grease.
q   Poly-V belt: removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Secure the pulley with the counterhold -3415- to prevent it from turning
15 - Oil seal
q   replace
16 - Bush
q   The contact surfaces of the sleeve must be free of oil and grease.
17 - Seal
q   Replace if damaged
18 - Pinions
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   For oil pump drive
19 - Bolt
q   Torque setting 20 Nm + 90°
q   replace
20 - Pinions
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   For oil pump
q   Immobilise using the retention tool -T10172-.
21 - Control chain
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   For oil pump
q   Mark D.O.R. before dismounting (installation position)
22 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 10 Nm
23 - Oil level/oil temperature sender -G266-
q   Depending on version
q   Replace if damaged
q   Checking: → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
24 - Oil drain plug, 30 Nm
q   With safety washer
q   replace
25 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 13 Nm
q   Loosen and fasten the bolts on the side of the flywheel using the socket -T10058-.
26 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 45 Nm
27 - Oil pan
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Clean sealing surface before installing
q   Fit with silicon-based sealant → Parts Catalogue
28 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 25 Nm
29 - Oil pump:
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Always replace completely
30 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 5 Nm
31 - Baffle plate

   
Sump - tightening torque and sequence
  Note
Renew the bolts tightened with specified tightening angle.
–  Tighten the bolts in 4 stages in the sequence indicated:
  A17-10007

1. Oil pan to cylinder block5 Nm
2.-Arrows -40 Nm
3. Oil pan to cylinder block10 Nm
3. Oil pan to cylinder blockTurn 90° further
