Throttle valve control unitJ338: cleaning
Throttle valve control unit -J338-: cleaning
  Note
t  If a new engine control unit -J623- has been fitted, the throttle control unit must be adapted. Adapting is only carried out with the new or previously cleaned throttle control unit, because if there is dirt/carbon at the top limit of the throttle, the adapting readings could be faulty.
t  Take care not to scratch the throttle valve housing when cleaning it.
–  Remove throttle valve module -J338- → Chapter.

–  Open the throttle by hand and lock with an appropriate tool, such as a plastic or wooden wedge -arrow-.
  WARNING
Acetone is highly flammable. Respect the accident prevention regulations and the safety indications when working with highly inflammable liquids. Do not use compressed air when cleaning the throttle valve. Wear safety goggles and protective clothing to avoid possible injury and skin contact.
