Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Refractometer -T10007A-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Base -VAS 6340-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Tightening torque -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
t  Collecting tray -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removal:
–  Drain coolant → Chapter
–  First remove principal notched belt → Chapter.

–  Remove bolts -1- and -4- and remove the rear timing belt guard -2- together with the coolant pump -3-.
  Note
The engines BXW, CGGB do not have a deflector pulley -6- nor the bolt -5-.
–  Remove bolts -1- and -4- and remove the rear timing belt guard -2- together with the coolant pump -3-.
Fitting .
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:
–  Fit the coolant pump -3- in the cylinder block and tighten securing bolts -4- together with the rear protector of the timing belt.
–  Tighten the securing bolts -4- to 20 Nm and -1- to 10Nm.
–  Notched belt, fitting, tensioning → Chapter.
–  Installing Poly-V belt → Chapter.
–  Fill up coolant → Chapter.
