Fuel tank: Removing and installing > < Fuel delivery unit: Removing and installing

Fuel gauge senders -G-: Removing and installing
Removal:
Observe the safety measures → Chapter
Observe rules for cleanliness → Chapter.
–  Remove fuel delivery unit → Chapter.
   
–  Release the cable connector tabs -3- and -4- and disconnect.
–  Lever off retaining lugs -1- and -2- using a screwdriver and remove the fuel gauge sender by pulling downwards -arrow- .
Fitting .
–  Insert the sender for the fuel level into the guides on fuel delivery unit and press upwards until it clicks into place.
–  Install fuel delivery unit → Chapter.
Removing (new version):
–  Remove fuel delivery unit → Chapter.
  A20-0103
–  Push the fuel level sender -G- slightly inwards in the -direction of the arrow- and at the same time remove upwards in the -direction of the arrow-.

–  Unlock the connector tabs -1 … 3-, inserting a fine screwdriver through the holes -arrows- and disconnect the connectors.
Fitting .
Fit in reverse order from removal, remembering the following:
  E20-10028
Assembly position for fuel level indicator sensor -G- cables
I - Brown Cable
II - Blue Cable
III - Black Cable
  Note
When mounting the fuel level sender -G- on the supply unit, make sure that the cables are correctly positioned.
–  Insert the fuel gauge sender -G- into the guides on fuel delivery unit and press upwards until it clicks into place.
–  Insert connector and check they have engaged properly.
–  Install fuel delivery unit → Chapter.
