Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Tray -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Pliers for spring-type clips -VAS 6499- or Pliers -T20174-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removing
  WARNING
Hot vapour/hot coolant may escape when opening expansion tank. Cover cap with cloth and open carefully.
–  Open the cap of the coolant expansion tank.
–  Remove engine cover → Chapter.
–  Remove the central soundproofing pan → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. Gr.50.
–  Drain coolant → Chapter
–  Remove intake manifold → Chapter.

–  Remove the mount for the cable connector -arrows- on the coolant hose.

–  Remove coolant hose -1-.
–  Remove bolt -2-.

–  Remove coolant hoses -arrows-.
–  Unscrew bolt -1- and remove the coolant hose.

–  Unscrew bolts -A- and -B- from the oil radiator.
–  Remove the oil radiator.
Fitting
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:

t  Replace gaskets and seals.
t  Secure all hose connections with hose clamps as shown in the series production → parts catalog.
–  Fill up coolant → Chapter.
