  Note
In vehicles with gearboxes equipped with two clutches, the needle bearing must be mounted at the rear end of the crankshaft.
1 - 65 Nm + 1/4 turn. (90°)
q   Replace.
q   Continuous thread
q   Tighten only up to 65 Nm in order to measure radial play of the crankshaft. Do not retighten.
2 - Bearing cover
q   Bearing cap 1: Pulley side
q   Bearing shell retaining lugs (cylinder block/bearing cap) must be on the same side.
3 - 10 Nm + 1/4 turn. (90°)
q   Replace.
4 - Generator wheel:
q   For engine speed sender -G28-
q   Replace the sender wheel each time the bolts are loosened.
q   Can only be installed in one position: the holes are not symmetrical
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
5 - Crankshaft
q   Axial clearance new: 0.07 - 0.23 mm; Wear limit: 0.30 mm
q   Check radial clearance with Plastigage. New: 0.017 - 0.037 mm. Wear limit: 0.07 mm
q   When measuring the radial play, do not rotate the crankshaft
q   Crankshaft dimensions → Chapter
q   Needle bearing: removing and fitting → Chapter
6 - Thrust washer
q   For bearing 3
7 - Engine block bearing shell
q   With lubrication groove
q   Classification for ordering spare parts → Chapter
q   Do not interchange used bearing shells (mark).
8 - Pinions
q   For oil pump drive
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
9 - Half bearing with bearing cap
q   Without lubrication groove
q   Do not interchange used bearing shells (mark).
