Cleaning injectors
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Ultrasonic cleaning apparatus -VAS 6418-
t  Injection module holder -VAS 6418/1-
t  Cleaning liquid -VAS 6418/2-
Clean
–  Remove the injectors → Chapter
  Note
Observe safety standards and the Instruction Manual for the ultrasonic apparatus.
–  The ultrasonic apparatus must be filled with cleaning fluid -VAS 6418/2-.
  Note
   
The ultrasonic apparatus must be filled with cleaning fluid to the upper edge of the holes (see detail).
–  Insert the injectors-1- up to the limit in the injection module holder -VAS 6418/1--2-.

–  Immerse the injectors with the injection module holder -VAS 6418/1- in the cleaning fluid.
–  Use dial control-4- to set the temperature to 50ºC.
–  Use dial control-5- to set the time to 30 minutes.
–  Switch on the ultrasonic apparatus from key -3-.
  Note
As soon as the temperature reaches 50ºC, the set time starts running.
–  After cleaning each injector, always replace the gasket ring in the combustion chamber (Teflon gasket ring) → Chapter
–  Next, fit the injectors back into place → Chapter.
