Steam may be released when opening the expansion tank. Wear safety goggles and appropriate clothing to avoid injury to eyes and burns. Cover the cap with a cloth and open carefully.

When the engine is hot the cooling system is under pressure. Therefore, this pressure must de reduced before repairing.

Secure the hose connections with original clamps.

To fit the spring clips, use the spring clip pliers -VAS 6499-.

Renew gaskets and seals.
t
The arrow markings on the coolant pipes and on the ends of the hoses must be aligned with each other.
