Special tools and workshop equipment required

Hose clamp -VW 558-, see equivalent

Hexagon bolt M8 x 45 and two M10 hexagon nuts
Removing
–
Fastenthe holder -VW 558- with the hexagonal screw M8 x 45 to the driving disk. Attach two nuts M10 between holders and driving disk.
Counter holder fitting position:
-A-
to loosen,
-B-
to tighten.
Installing
–
Fit the drive plate using the washer with recesses

Insert new bolts
-3-
and tighten to a torque of 30 Nm.
–
Check dimension
-a-
at 3 points and calculate the average.
Specification: 19.5 - 21.1 mm
Note
The measurement is made through the hole of the drive plate to the bored surface of the cylinder block.
If the specifications are not met:
–
Remove the drive plate again and use the compensation washer

. Tighten the bolts again

to a torque of 30 Nm.

Tighten the bolts to a torque of 60 Nm +

turn (90°) (the retightening can be done in several stages).
