Camshafts: Removing and installing

Removal:

–	Remove the camshaft fastener -T10414-.

–	Place the cylinder head cover on the workbench as shown.

–	Remove the securing bolts of the bearing holder module in the following order -A - to -J-.

–	Remove the bearing holder module.

–	Remove the camshaft -1- from the cylinder head cover -2-.

Install the camshaft

Note

Before installing, moisten the camshaft and the camshaft holder with a little engine oil.

–	Assemble the camshaft -1- in the cylinder head cover -2-.

–	Insert the camshaft clamp -T10414- in the camshaft grooves and manually tighten the bolts.

–	Fit the bearing holder module on the contact surfaces of the camshaft.

The bearing holder module is brought to the correct position by using the centring pins.-arrows-

–	Tighten the securing bolts to 8 Nm in the following order -A - to -J-.
