Renewing Teflon seal and support washer on injector
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Adjustment tool -T10133-, see equivalent → Anchor
Renewing Teflon seal
Note safety precautions before starting work → Chapter
–  Remove air cleaner housing → Chapter.
–  Remove the regulating flap control unit -J808- and the throttle control unit -J338-. → Chapter
–  Remove intake manifold lower section → Chapter.
–  Remove injectors → Chapter.
–  Clean injector carefully.
–  Carefully cut open seal with a knife as shown -arrow-. Always avoid contact between the blade and the body of the valve.

–  Remove the used sealing ring and clean the groove of the sealing ring in the corresponding area -arrow-. Remove coking deposits using a brass wire brush.

–  Fit new oil seal -1- onto assembly cone -T10133/5-. Using assembly sleeve -T10133/6- (knurling points to seal -1-), gently slide seal onto assembly cone -T10133/5- as far as possible.

–  Turn the assembly sleeve -T10133/6- (the knurled part no longer faces the seal ) and fit the seal -1- to the end in the assembly cone -T10133/5-.
–  Now place the assembly cone -T10133/5- with seal in front of the injector. Slide seal further onto injector using assembly sleeve -T10133/6-.

The seal is no longer on the groove of the casing.
–  Remove assembly sleeve -T10133/6- and assembly cone -T10133/5-.
–  Slide seal into annular groove by hand.
–  Position spacer sleeve -T10133/11- onto valve body.
–  Now push calibration sleeve -T10133/7- over seal to stop onto spacer sleeve -T10133/11-.

–  Pull off calibration sleeve -T10133/7- again.
–  Now press the calibration sleeve -T10133/8- onto the seal as far as possible on the spacer sleeve -T10133/11-.
–  Pull off calibration sleeve -T10133/8- again.

Now the Teflon seal has correct installation dimensions.
Renewing support washer
–  Detach O-ring -3-.
–  Open the support washer -2- using a small pair of pliers and remove.

–  Now remove the spring element -1- on the injector and replace with the plate safety catch -T10133/12-.
–  Insert the new support washer -1- on the assembly cone -T10133/13- and fit on the injector as shown in the figure.

–  Slide support washer -1- into first groove -arrow- on injector using calibration sleeve -T10133/17- (knurled side points to injector).
–  Now turn calibration sleeve -T10133/17- around (knurled side no longer points to injector). Move the calibration sleeve on the support washer -1- in -the direction of the arrow- as far as possible on the plate safety catch -T10133/12-.
–  Remove the calibration sleeve -T10133/17- again

The support washer now has correct installation dimensions.

–  Now position a new spring element -1- for retaining plate -T10133/12- and position a new O-ring -3- in front of support washer -2-.

The Teflon seal must not be oiled -arrow- for the injector assembly.
–  Install injectors → Chapter.
–  Fit the lower part of the intake manifold carefully onto the injectors and tighten the fastening bolts to 20 Nm → Chapter.
–  Installing intake manifold → Chapter.
Fit the regulating flap control unit -J808- and the throttle control unit -J338-. → Chapter
–  Install air cleaner housing → Chapter.
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
