  Note
t  Always gaskets and self-locking nuts.
t  After completing work on the exhaust system ensure that it is tension-free and remains at a sufficient distance from the bodywork. If necessary, loosen clamp and align silencers and exhaust pipe so that sufficient clearance is maintained to the bodywork at all points and the mountings are evenly loaded.

t  Centre and secondary silencers: disconnect → Chapter
t  Exhaust pipe with catalytic converter: Removing and installing → Chapter
t  Exhaust manifold: Removing and installing → Chapter
t  Exhaust system: install free of tension → Chapter

t  Lambda sensor -G39- (before catalytic converter): Removing and installing → Chapter
