Safety precautions
To prevent injuries to persons and/or damage to the fuel injection and ignition system, the following must be noted:
t  Do not touch or remove the ignition cables with the engine running or idling.
t  The ignition must be switched off before connecting or disconnecting injection or ignition system wiring or tester cables.
Note the following if testers and measuring instruments have to be used during a road test:
t  Testers and measuring instruments must always be secured to the rear seat and operated by a 2nd person from this location.
If test and measuring instruments are operated from front passenger's seat and the vehicle is involved in an accident, there is a possibility that the person sitting in this seat may receive serious injuries when the airbag is triggered.
t  If the engine is to be turned at starter speed without starting:

–  Remove the 4-pin connectors from the ignition coils -arrows-.
–  Remove the fuse for the injector units from the fuse holder. Fuse installation → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations
