| The couplings and air hoses of the supercharging system must be free from oil and grease before assembling. However (applies only to quick-release couplings); the seal and the sealing surface of quick-release couplings should be lubricated lightly with oil → Chapter. |

| The supercharger air system should not leak |

| Renew self-locking nuts. |

| Spring-type clip pliers -VAS 6362- or hose clip pliers -V.A.G 1921- are recommended for installation of spring-type clips. |

| Fill the turbocharger at the coupling of the oil supply pipe with engine oil. |
| t
| After fitting the turbocharger, allow the engine to idle for 1 minute without accelerating to ensure turbocharger oil supply. |
