t  Fuel drainage container
t  Current flow diagram
Test prerequisites
l  In the fault memory of the engine control unit there are no faults relating to the voltage supply of the fuel pump.
l  Fuel pump control unit -J538- in good condition
l  Connect battery charger → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
l  Fuses for the fuel pump in a good condition; fuse allocation → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations
l  Amount of fuel in tank must be at least greater than reserve.
l  Ignition off
