Radiator: Removing and installing Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Adapter for cooling system tester -V.A.G 1274/8-

t	Tray -VAS 6208-

t	Hose clip pliers -VAS 6362-

t	Coolant charger -VAS 6096-

t	Refractometer -T10007-

Removal: –  Remove radiator fan -V7- and radiator fan 2 -V177- → Chapter. –  Drain coolant → Chapter. –  Remove the front bumper → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.63. –  Pull coolant hoses off radiator.   Caution In order to avoid damage to the condenser or the lines of the refrigerant, take care that pulling, bending or excessive twisting of the line is avoided.

–  Unscrew the screws -arrows- of the radiator bracket.

–  Unscrew the securing bolts -arrows- of the condenser.

–  Swivel the radiator to the back together with condenser and remove the bottom bracket. Pull down the lock carrier a little on the left bracket -1-.

–  Unscrew the securing screws of the coolant line on the right side of the radiator -arrow-.

–  Unscrew the top securing bolts -arrows- of the condenser. –  Pull the additional radiator upwards. Installing –  Insert the radiator from above and screw together with the condenser. –  Insert the radiator with condenser in the bottom bracket.

–  Mount the top bracket of the radiator on the radiator and screw together with the lock carrier plate -arrows-. –  Fit the front bumper → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. gr.63. –  Fit radiator fan -V7- and radiator fan 2 -V177- → Chapter. –  Fill up coolant → Chapter. Tightening torques:
