The thickness of the bearing to be used in each area is marked with identification letters on the lower sealing surface of the engine block.
The arrow indicates direction of movement.
The top bearing shells are selected with the appropriate thickness for the engine block at the factory. Coloured points are used to identify the thickness of the bearing shells.
