Centre and secondary silencers: Separate
t  In order to replace the centre and rear silencers separately, the connecting pipe can be cut at the marked point.
t  The cutting point can be identified by the impression on the circumference of the exhaust tube.
Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Pneumatic sabre saw -V.A.G 1523 A-
t  or Chain pipe cutter -VAS 6254-
t  Protective glasses
  WARNING
Wear safety goggles and appropriate clothing to avoid injury caused by metal shavings.

–  Separate the exhaust pipe, e.g. with the metal saw -V.A.G 1523 A- at the marked position -arrow 2- vertical to the tube.
–  Position the clamp for fitting -4- on the marks -arrow 1- and -arrow 3-.

–  Install the clamp so that the bolt end does not project over the clamp lower edge.
l  Screw thread must face rear
–  Align exhaust system without tension → Chapter
