Removing
–  First check whether a coded radio is fitted. If this is the case consult the anti-theft coding.
–  Follow the security precautions before beginning work → Chapter.
–  With the ignition switched off disconnect battery earth strap.
–  Move rear seat forward.
–  Remove the fuel delivery unit cover underneath the rear seat.
  Caution
Fuel supply pipes are under pressure Before loosening the fuel line connections, place a clean cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully loosening the connection.
   
–  Remove from the flange: the connector -1-, the return tubes (blue) -2- and the feed tubes (black) -3-, for this press on the block buttons.

–  Place Turning tool -U-40055A- on union nut and unscrew it from the flange.
–  Pull fuel delivery unit and seal out of the opening in fuel tank.
  Note!
If the delivery unit is to be replaced then drain old delivery unit before disposal.
