In vehicles from the 01/2006, the upper guard of the notched belt has no inspection hatch and is divided in the area of the engine bracket area.
   
1 - 10 Nm
2 - Upper protection element for the notched belt
3 - 50 Nm + 1/2 turn (180°)
q   Use locking spanner -T20018B- to loosen and tighten → Fig.
4 - Camshaft pulley
q   Remove with extractor -T20119A- → Fig.
q   Installation position, fixed with a cotter pin → Item
5 - 10 Nm
q   Fit with thread locking fluid → ETKA (electronic parts catalogue)
6 - Rear notched belt guard
7 - Woodruff key
q   Check that it is seated securely
8 - 25 Nm
9 - Semi-automatic tensioning roller
10 - Coolant pump
q   Removing and installing
11 - O ring
q   replace
12 - 25 Nm
13 - Stabiliser roller
14 - 15 Nm
15 - 35 Nm
16 - Stabiliser roller
17 - Sealing flange
18 - Crankshaft cogwheel
q   There must be no oil on the contact surface between the toothed belt and the crankshaft
q   Fitting possible in one position only.
19 - 90 Nm +1/4 turn further (90°)
q   replace
q   Do not use oil
q   Use counterhold -3415- to loosen and tighten.
20 - Notched belt
q   Mark direction of rotation with chalk or felt pen before removing
q   Check for wear.
q   removing and installing → Chapter
21 - Notched belt guard - lower part
22 - Securing bolt
q   For the lower notched belt guard
q   Qty. 7.
q   8 Nm
23 - Engine bracket
24 - 45 Nm
