Fuel supply unit and fuel level indicator sender - Component overview (front wheel drive vehicles)
1 - Fuel delivery unit
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Checking fuel pump (electrical test) → Chapter
2 - Seal
q   Replace
q   Place dry ring gasket in the opening of the fuel tank.
3 - Fuel supply line
q   Black
q   To fuel filter
q   Do not kink
q   Connected to connection marked „V“ on sealing flange
q   To extract from sealing flange, press release tab on connection
q   Install on fuel tank
4 - Fuel return line
q   Blue colour
q   From fuel cooler
q   Do not kink
q   Connected to connection marked „R“ on sealing flange
q   To extract from sealing flange, press release tab on connection
q   Install on fuel tank
5 - Electric connector
q   For fuel pump (pre-supply pump) -G6- and fuel gauge sender -G-
6 - Seal ring 110 Nm
q   Removing and installing with key -T10202-
7 - Fuel gauge senders -G-
q   Checking resistance values → Chapter
q   Removing and installing → Chapter

   
Fitting position of fuel delivery unit flange
The mark on the flange -3- is opposite to flow.
  Note
The fuel supply unit flange can only be fitted in this position.
Fuel return pipe blue or blue mark -1-
Fuel supply pipe black -2-.
  Note
After installing fuel delivery unit flange, check that the supply, return and breather pipes are still clipped onto the fuel tank.
