Procedure after interruption in voltage supply |
When voltage supply is interrupted, the control unit loses all learnt or basic settings values and readiness code is cleared. Owing to this, and depending of vehicle mileage, vehicle driving performance may be severely affected. |
Special tools and workshop equipment required |
t
| Fault reader -V.A.G 1551- or vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552- with cable -V.A.G 1551/3B- |
The following operations must be carried out after an interruption in voltage supply: |
–
| Switch on ignition for at least 10 seconds. |
–
| Adapt engine control unit to the throttle valve control part → Chapter. |
Note! During idling check, activated charcoal filter solenoid valve and air conditioning are switched off, and Lambda regulation self-adaptation process starts. |
–
| Carry out road test long enough to eliminate faults in driving performance. |
During the road test the following operating conditions must be fulfilled: |
t
| The coolant temperature must exceed 80 °C. |
t
| When the temperature is reached, the operating conditions: |
t
| At full throttle the speed must exceed 3500 RPM |
