Test conditions
l  Fault in the Hall transmitter detected using the self-diagnosis
  Note
If the fault memory is consulted while the engine is not running or without first turning over the starter for at least 6 seconds, the fault Hall sender -G40-, no signal will appear even though there is no problem.
Checking process
–  Remove the connection from the Hall sender (ignition distribution).
  W00-0478
–  To measure the voltage, connect the multimeter to the external contacts of the connector, using the auxiliary cables from the -V.A.G 1594 C-.
–  Turn the ignition on.
   Specification: 9 V minimum.
–  Switch ignition OFF.
  V28-0394
–  Connect the tester -V.A.G 1598/18- to the control unit cable harness.
–  Check the cables between the test box and the triple connector for an open circuit following the current circuits diagram.
