Injection unit: removing and fitting
Repairing the upper element
   
1 - 5 Nm
q   Fit using D6
2 - Protection hood
q   This is fitted to the spare part for the protection of the inlet air temperature sender for transportation; it must be removed for fitting
3 - Support for injector with inlet air temperature sender -G42-*
q   Checking intake air temperature sender → Chapter
q   Resistance values → Fig.
4 - O-ring
q   Replacement
5 - Injector -N30-
q   Checking → Chapter
6 - 6 Nm
q   Fit using D6
7 - Upper element of the injection unit
q   Note the fitting position.
8 - Gasket
q   Note the fitting position.
q   Replace if damaged
9 - Connection junction
10 - O- ring
q   Replacement
11 - Fuel pressure regulator
q   Verify the fuel pressure regulator and the retention pressure → Chapter
12 - Connector
q   Unclip the tabs for removal

Repairs to the lower element
   
1 - Throttle actuator -V60-*/**
q   With idle switch -F60-*
q   Verification → Chapter
q   When fitting, ensure that the idle switch can only be operated by the limiting bolt using the small plastic plate of the switch. If necessary, loosen the counter weight → Item to align it
q   After replacement, always verify the correct adjustment of the idle switchn → Chapter
q   With throttle actuator sender -G127-*; Sender verification → Chapter
2 - 6 Nm
3 - Idle switch -F60-
q   Verification and adjustment → Chapter
q   Replacement: replacement of the throttle actuator
4 - Counter support
q   For the accelerator control cable
q   Adjustment of the accelerator cable → Rep. Gr.20
5 - Lower element of the injection unit
6 - Limiting bolt
q   The bolt is fixed by the manufacturer and should not be altered in its position
7 - 3 Nm
8 - Support
9 - Low pressure connection
q   For the active carbon filter system → Rep. Gr.20
10 - Low pressure connection
q   For inlet air pre-heating
11 - O-ring
q   Replace in case of deterioration
12 - Throttle potentiometer -G69-*
q   Verification → Chapter
q   Should not be adjusted
q   In case of a problem: replace the lower part of the injection unit
q   Gold contacts

   
Resistance values
The diagram refers to the temperature sender -G62- of the liquid and the inlet air temperature sender -G42-.
The area A indicates the resistance values for the range of temperatures from 0…50 °C and the area B, the range of temperatures from 50…100 °C.
Examples:
t  30 °C corresponds to a resistance value of 1.500…2.000 Ω
t  80 °C corresponds to a resistance value of 275…375 Ω
