Remove

–	First, print out the control unit identification and, with that, the previous control unit code, as follows:

–	Connect the -V.A.G 1551- (-V.A.G 1552-). Switch on the ignition and enter “address code” 01 to select the engine control unit. (Fault reader: Connecting and selecting the engine control unit → Chapter.).

The display shows the control unit identification and code, for example:

–	Press Print on the fault reader to print out the control unit identification.

–

Press →.

–	Press 0 and 6 for the function “End data transmission” and press Q to confirm the entry.

–	Switch off the ignition.

–	Free the engine control unit connectors and unplug them.

–	Carefully lever off the fixing brace with a screwdriver -arrow-.

–	Remove the control unit from the mount frame -arrow-.
