Adaptation of radio/navigation system
  Note!
In newer units, adaptation of the traffic information control unit is performed by coding the navigation system, ⇒ Code navigation system, → Chapter.
Adaptation of the radio/navigation system is not absolutely essential, either when the unit is renewed or when other tyre sizes are fitted.
  Note!
t  Adaptation must be performed so the navigation system can operate with high precision immediately after completion of the work.
t  If adaptation of the system is not performed and the vehicle is not driven for a corresponding distance before handover to the customer then the navigation system, once switched on, will not provide any driving instructions or only give imprecise instructions during the first 12-15 km.
–  Select the diagnostic function “10 - Adaptation”.
–  Use the numeric keypad on the test unit display to enter channel number “01”.
