Interrogate fault memory –  Select the diagnostic function “02 - Interrogate fault memory”. The display shows the number of stored faults.   Note! t  The list below contains all possible faults that can be detected by the radio self-diagnostic function and displayed on the test unit. The faults are sorted according to their 5-digit fault identification number. t  Before renewing components, check the wiring and connections to these components as well as the earth connections, referring to the current flow diagram. t  After performing the repair, always interrogate the fault memory again with the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- or vehicle diagnosis and service information system -VAS 5052- and erase the fault memory.

2)  During the self-diagnosis it is not possible to recognise if a fault exists after fault rectification. Therefore after each fault rectification and erasure of the fault memory it is necessary to perform a functional check of the second display and then interrogate the fault memory again.
