Removing and installing headlight range control motor
Removing and installing headlight range control motor
Removing:
  Caution
Check that the cover is correctly fitted. If water enters the lamp, this will cause damage.
  Note
t  If control motors are removed and installed or renewed, the headlight adjustment must be checked and, if necessary, adjusted → Booklet101.
t  The illustrations show the renewal of the headlight range control motor for the left headlight.
–  Disconnect ignition and all electrical loads, and remove ignition key.
   
–  Remove headlight → Chapter.

–  Undo the four -1- bolts and remove the cover.
–  Remove the electrical connector.
–  Turn the control motor on its axis -arrow- clockwise.
–  Disengage the servomotor from the ball-and-socket housing guide -arrow-.
–  Remove the servomotor from the headlamp casing.
Installing:
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, noting the following:
  E94-10083
–  Carefully insert the spherical head of the headlamp range adjustment control motor-1- onto the appropriate guide -arrow-.
  Note
Check that the cover is correctly fitted. If water enters the lamp, this will cause damage.
–  Check headlight functions.
–  Check headlight setting and adjust headlight as necessary → Booklet101.
