Removing and installing senders for parking aid (front)
Removing and installing senders for parking aid (front)
Removal:
   
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers and take out ignition key.
t  Installation location: In bumper cover -arrows-.
Outer sender without charge air cooler/additional radiator:
  E94-10209
–  Loosen the screws or quick-type locks -1 - and - 2- and remove front noise insulation.
Outer senders - vehicles with charge air cooler/auxiliary radiator:
–  Remove front bumper lining → Rep. gr.63.
Inner senders:
–  Remove front bumper lining → Rep. gr.63.
–  Remove radiator grille → Rep. gr.63.

All:
–  Unplug electrical connector -1- on sender.
–  Press both retainer tabs aside -arrows- and press out sender -2- inwards.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order, noting the following:
Outer senders - vehicles with charge air cooler/auxiliary radiator:
–  Install the front bumper cover → Rep. gr.63.
Inner senders:
–  Install the front bumper cover → Rep. gr.63.
–  Install radiator grille → Rep. gr.63.
