Requirements for charging dead batteries |
For charging a totally discharged battery (voltage level of 11.6 V “volts” and less), the charge will take at least 24 hours or more. The charge voltage (Imax) can only be a maximum of 10% of the battery capacity, that is, in a 60 Ah battery the charge voltage is Imax = 6 A (amps). The charge voltage (Umax) can only be a maximum of 14.4 V (volts). |
In no case can dead batteries be charged rapidly. |
