  Caution
During the charge operation the battery type must always be selected 2.4 V/Z (volts / battery cell). This applies for all batteries.
  Note
The battery must have a temperature of at least 10 °C.
  WARNING
The batteries whose magic eye a clear yellow or clear colour should not be tested nor charged. Do not perform an auxillary start.
The risk of explosion exists upon testing and charging or performing an auxillary start.
These batteries must be renewed.
–  Turn off the ignition and all electricity consumers.
–  Check the battery type selection on the battery types switch → Chapter. The switch must be set to 2.4 V/Z (volts / battery cell).
–  Connect the red charge clamp „+“ of the charger to the positive pole of the battery.
  Note
On vehicles with Start / Stop function and battery monitor control unit -J367-, the black charging terminal „-“ must be connected to the body earthing. Connecting it to battery negative terminal will cause start/stop system to malfunction.
–  Connect the black charge terminal „-“ of the charger to the negative pole of the battery.
–  Switch on the charger → Chapter.
The charge current indicators → Fig.-2- and -3- light up yellow. If only one LED lights -3-, this means that the battery is partially charged (approx.
If the green LED → Fig.-4- is lit this means that the charger has switched to charge maintenance. The battery is charged.
–  Switch off the charger → Chapter.
–  Remove the charge clamps from the terminals on the battery poles.
