Injury risk!
Some tools are equipped with a tool safety device. This must be pushed over the tip of the tool after use in order to protect the tip and prevent personal injury.
  Note
t  Observe general information on repairs to vehicle electrical system → Chapter.
t  To release, always use the correct release tools. Under no circumstances should contacts be removed from the connector housing by force.
t  Always renew damaged connector housings.
t  As an aid to disengage the secondary locking mechanisms, a small screwdriver can be used.
t  The assignment of the connections is partly stamped on the secondary lock or on the rear of the connector housing.
