From 06.00 a third generation immobilizer is installed in the Alhambra, one of two versions is installed depending on the type of engine. |
On one version the immobilizer control unit and engine control unit communicate with one another via the data bus, on the other version this communication is via W-wire. |
The corresponding communication method should be determined beforehand using the display group 001 → Anchor via the “Read data block” function → Chapter. |
Communications are implemented via the W-wire if the first display zone contains the Baud rate in the form of a number. |
The text “data bus” means the communication is via data bus. |
The immobilizer consist of: |

| an immobilizer control unit, |

| an adapted (matched) engine control unit, |
t
| a reader coil on ignition lock, |
t
| adapted (matched) ignition keys with electronic components (transponder and response reader memory), |
t
| and the immobilizer warning lamp -K117-. |
