Explanatory notes on the functioning and installation of mobile telephones and radiocommunication systems in SEAT vehicles
Mobile telephones and radiocommunication systems should not be used in vehicles without a separate external aerial being fitted.
–  It is only authorized to fit systems identified with CE or e (only valid for Europe).
–  Strictly observe the manufacturer's manuals and fitting instructions for mobile telephones, radiocommunication systems and aerials
–  Only with an external aerial will the full range of the apparatus be obtained. If mobile telephones or radiocommunication systems are installed without an external aerial or with a defective aerial, there is a possibility that excessively large electromagnetic fields could be created inside the vehicle.
In such cases it cannot be ruled out that certain phenomena may occur that would be prejudicial to health, as well as faults in the functioning of the vehicle's electronic systems.
–  If mobile telephones and radiocommunication systems are correctly installed there is no risk of damage to the security systems, e.g. ABS or Airbag. However, this presupposes that no other work is done thereafter on the systems fitted. The routing of parallel cables with those of the systems should be avoided.
Only in the following conditions is the installation and functioning of a radiocommunications system allowed, with a transmitting power of more than 10 watts for the systems that appear in the table:
–  The transmission power is measured in the aerial base (max. P -manufacturer' s data) should not exceed the maximum specifications
–  The aerial should only be installed in the locations specified.
Differences with respect to these specifications (aerial fitting location, frequency and power) are only permitted in exceptional circumstances and when the case has been has been investigated by the SEAT (I+D) E/DE-SE.CE centre.
