Fault messages on the screen
In the event of a system fault, the fault is stored in the fault memory and/or a fault message appears on the display of navigation system with CD drive control unit -J401-.
In the current version the following error messages on the display of the navigation control unit is displayed -J401-
On the display there appears:
   
DVD read error
Please check DVD

This fault message appears:
t  The DVD cannot be read.
t  DVD is defective.
t  The DVD drive is defective.
–  Check whether the DVD drive can read a replacement DVD.
If the same fault message occurs:
–  Perform adaption of channel 41.
To do so, use the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 505X- .
On the display there appears:
   
CD/DVD drive defect.
Unable to read data.
Consult your dealer.

This fault message appears:
t  The DVD drive cannot read the DVD data.
t  DVD is defective.
t  The DVD drive is defective.
–  Check whether the DVD drive can read a replacement DVD.
If the same fault message occurs:
–  Perform adaption of channel 41.
To do so, use the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 505X- .
