SUBJECT: Engine Water Pump
INTRODUCTION
Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) has determined that affected vehicles may have been produced with an improperly manufactured engine water pump. The
water pump pulley could dislodge from the pump and cause severe engine damage.
This recall will involve the replacement of the engine water pump on affected vehicles.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
Certain 2003MY Legacy, Outback and Baja Models with 2.5L four cylinder engine.
Refer to the affected vehicle list provided by your Regional/Distributor Office or confirm coverage through the vehicle Coverage Inquiry in the Dealer
Communication System (DCS).
