Drive Belt: Adjustments
Belt Tension
1.
Loosen tension pulley bolts.
2.
Adjust so that belt deflection is correct when measured midway between tension pulley and compressor.
3.
Tighten lower mounting bolt, then upper bolt, to 17 - 29 ftlb ( 24 - 39 Nm).
BELT DEFLECTION
0.47 - 0.59 in (12 - 15 mm) @ 22 lb (10 kg)
NOTE: When installing a new belt, adjust tension, run engine for 5 minutes, and readjust to compensate for initial stretch.
