SERVICE PROCEDURE

Tools Required:

10 mm socket and ratchet 
Pliers 
Torque Wrench 
Bituminous wax (if needed)

FUEL AIR VENT PIPE REPLACEMENT

1.

Verify that the vehicle is included in the VIN range listed at the beginning of this bulletin and has not been repaired (i.e., Star System, Distributor,
office, etc.) Vehicles which have been repaired at the ports will have a completion label affixed to the radiator core support.

NOTE:

The fuel level should be less than 3/4 of a tank before performing this procedure.

2.

Remove the negative terminal of the battery.

3.

Loosen fuel cap to release tank pressure.

4.

Mark wheel position and loosen right rear wheel lug nuts.

5.

Raise vehicle on lift and remove right rear wheel.

6.

Remove filler pipe protector. See Figure 1.

7.

Remove bolt from filler pipe.

8.

Remove hose from the fuel air vent pipe.
