Check ATF Temperature Sensor

1.

Unplug connector from transmission.

2.

Measure resistance between TCM connector receptacle terminals.

Connector & Terminal

Resistance

(T4) 5 - 12

2.1 - 2.9 K ohms (ATF temp. 68°F (20°C)

3.

Connect connector to transmission and warm up engine to increase ATF temperature.

4.

Stop engine and unplug connector from transmission.

5.

Measure resistance between transmission connector receptacle terminals.

275 - 375 ohms (ATF temp. 176°F (80°C)
